John and Trish’s Vision

It all started with a random email …

Trish was asked to mentor someone and Trish’s response was “er … what would I teach you?” - Trish told John and John said “go for it!”

Then 1 year later at 2am in the morning a stranger (and now a friend) reached out asking for tech advice. They had been betrayed by those they trusted most and needed help …

A little backstory:

John and Trish had travelled around Australia and New Zealand teaching the IBS Hypnosis Protocol (now upgraded to Gut Directed Hypnotherapy Certification) - At each conference we would meet wonderful people and make life long friends. As time went by the horror stories started to emerge. Therapists being ripped off financially, bound into unrealistic contracts, lead astray with false information about technology/webpage design and even band in communities due to mis-understandings.

John and Trish decided to step up - The hypnosis and nlp industry had enough struggles with being recognised (let alone being strangled financial by members of its own community). We decided to offer affordable training with pay plans at no extra cost or hidden fees, this lead to John creating webpages and social media to generate a digital presence for students.

John and Trish had already discussed in early days about running a conference to create a networked community of support however, 2020 had other ideas with COVID-19 corona virus hitting the universe. Putting the whole world into turmoil. 12 months on and still the world is trying to find its feet.

At the end of 2020 Trish suddenly lost her father. This big shift in her life put her into over drive. Realising the fragility of life she decided to just go for it! and here we are!

Originally: In 2022 we ran the Australian Hypnosis Conference online via zoom. Now it’s time to come out of hiding and have some fun!

NOW!!: 2023 and beyond - it is goal to bring the hypnosis, nlp and natural healing industry into the limelight with an in person event with exhibits, speakers and training in a convention centre setting.

Each year we aim to grow the AHC for all to enjoy, experience and learn from. So thankyou for supporting us in our vision of a networked and supportive community. Growing together and going from strength to strength.

The ASCH recognises the AHC for 10 OPD

The ASCH was founded and incorporated in 1974 by a dedicated group of clinical hypnotherapists and is one of the largest associations in Australia for health and mental health professionals who use clinical hypnosis. Membership has grown steadily, with representatives in every state of Australia, as well as in New Zealand, South Africa, Taiwan, the USA, England, and Europe.

The ASCH recognises the AHC for 10 OPD. We are honoured that they have chosen us and highly recommend them to any therapist that wants a professional body to be registered with.

How do we monitor attendance to ensure the points are earnt?

We have access to all attendee names. This is done for security. When your OPD is lodged we can confirm that you were their attending.

Please do the following to ensure your points are valid.

• Keep your registration receipt as proof

• Login to the speakers you wish to learn from and ensure your camera is on and working as further proof of attendance

• If you upgraded to subscription you are eligible for points

  Any issues simply flick us an email and we can vouch for your attendance.
